I'm underway .......

Well, here I am, I've just started out on my blogging trip to where it will take me.
It signifies a new start in a new academic year.
Learning seems to have been the dominant theme in the things I've been doing so far, so this will probably be a kind of learning diary.
I have no idea where this blog will take, so I'll just steer it in the direction that I feel like.
A number of years ago I took up digital photography, just as a sort of visual reflection of the things that kept me busy and of the places where I went, just as a kind of personal visual record to flick through whenever I felt like it.
Now it seems I'm ready to take the next step and set up a blog. Though I admit I 've been encouraged by the people who participate in the Homo Zappiens community that was set up in March 2008 at our university for applied sciences.
I've decided to write in English or Dutch, depending on my mood or the context.
